HVO-Querido offers housing and and guidance to people with a psychiatric vulnerability, often in combination with addiction and debt. They also help sexworkers, ‘status holders’, families and the economically homeless. Their clients are fighting to be able to exist, fight to be able to leave their live as homeless, to build a future, from the streets to an independent household. These people are heroes for sure! With participation in the parade they ask extra attention, and solidify the position of LGBTI’s and diversity, as a subject inside and outside of HVO-Querido. Participation in the parade offers a chance for the clients to express their identity, in a way that otherwise wouldn’t be very accessible for them.
