March from Martin Luther Kingpark and closing concert Museumplein conclude on 8 August WorldPride
Many buildings in Amsterdam are answering Pride Amsterdam’s call to illuminate them in rainbow colours during WorldPride. From From 25 July through 8 August, 53 iconic buildings have already joined to highlight the city’s hospitality and openness to international and national visitors. This creates unique photo moments and represents a record number of participating buildings compared with previous WorldPride editions. During the closing on 8 August, with an impressive WorldPride March to the Museumplein, the lights will be switched off again with a symbolic press of a button. Individual businesses and residents are also encouraged to join in lighting up the city.
On Saturday 8 August 2026 the international WorldPride March 2026 will take place in Amsterdam. Thousands of participants from home and abroad will walk together from Martin Luther Kingpark to the Museumplein to call attention to equal rights, inclusion and the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community worldwide.
From 15:00 participants will gather next to Martin Luther Kingpark (President Kennedylaan) for speeches, performances and meetings. At 16:30 the march will set off, including sound trucks from among others A’DAM Toren, Ballroom Pride, BOPS, Trans Pride & Mister B, towards the Museumplein, where at 17:30 the official Closing Concert of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 will take place.
Amsterdam joins in and everyone can take part
During WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 the city will also be transformed into a true Amsterdam Rainbow City. So far 53 iconic buildings, museums, hotels, companies and cultural institutions have pledged to light up and/or decorate their facades in rainbow colours during WorldPride. Among them are Amsterdam Centraal station, Passenger Terminal, Stopera, Eye Filmmuseum, Johan Cruijff ArenA, From Gogh Museum, ITA, Beurs van Berlage, Paradiso, Koepelkerk, Ziggo Dome, De Bijenkorf, several headquarters and many other locations participating in this collective initiative. By doing so they show that Amsterdam, in solidarity, stands for diversity, inclusion and equal rights.
WorldPride invites visitors and residents to experience Amsterdam after sunset too. The participating locations will be beautifully lit in all the colours of the rainbow from 25 July to 8 August between 22:00 and 07:00. To make the tour as accessible as possible, the organisers will soon publish a map with all participating locations so visitors can easily plan their own route.

Make your voice heard, make yourself seen!
The organisers hope everyone, both residents and visitors, will make themselves heard on Saturday 8 August for the WorldPride March 2026. Together we will show that Amsterdam is a city where everyone can be themselves, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or background.
