Amnesty International stands for human rights everywhere, always for everyone. In many places, LGBTQ+ activists must fight to be accepted. They are excluded, their rights are denied, and they are treated with violence. Amnesty stands up for these activists worldwide. They are not alone, and they are not forgotten.

Be it a country torn apart by war. Where you try to create a safe place for the community, despite the danger to your own life. Or the ban on Pride events in Turkey, where in the capital Ankara the Pride Protests have been heavily intervened in recent years. Wherever activists stand up for their right to be there, Amnesty stands with these courageous people.

We welcome these activists on our boat and give them a place where they can show their message without resistance, violence, or danger. We invite activists from all over the world but want to give a few organizations the opportunity to use our boat as a stage where they are not allowed or unable to do so in their own country.

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – AUGUST 06: Local residents, people from the LGBTQIA+ community and human right activists affiliated to Amnesty International attend the Canal Parade on August 6, 2022 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Pride Amsterdam event was on hold for 3 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
