Amsterdam UMC & OLVG

For the first time this year, Amsterdam UMC and OLVG are sailing together as Amsterdam’s hospital boat. Within our hospitals, we believe it is important that everyone feels welcome, seen and included. The theme of Pride2023, #YouAreIncluded, is therefore a message that we want to propagate festively and wholeheartedly.

At the same time, we realize that inclusiveness asks for an open attitude and dialogue. Both hospitals are therefore actively working to improve inclusion at all levels of the organizations. This is done through initiatives around religious, cultural and ethnic diversity as well as sexual and gender identity.

Because we are diverse as people in so many ways, dialogue is very important. Therefore, in addition to the theme #YouAreIncluded, we also want to ask the question : ‘#HowCanWeIncludeYou’. By being open to various experiences, perspectives and needs of our patients, employees, students and other hospital visitors, our commitment to inclusive care comes together.
