WORK IN UNITY, EMBRACE THE COMMUNITY
We are the first and only occupational health service provider in the Netherlands to join the Pride parade. By joining the Canal Parade we show that work and health are for everyone. Everyone deserves a safe workplace where they can be themselves. Because only when we work together in unity can people remain healthy and sustainably employed.
Nearly 10 million people work in the Netherlands. Work matters for income, security, self-worth and social connection. That is why we believe everyone — regardless of who you are, who you love or how you identify — should be able to work safely and equally.
As an employer you are responsible not only for a healthy company, but also for well‑being. When people feel accepted at work, the healthier, more motivated and less absent they are. Our experts (occupational physicians, labour experts, psychologists, psychiatrists, safety specialists, reintegration coaches and practice support staff) work every day to keep working Netherlands healthy, safe and inclusive.
We are a nationwide organisation that not only respects diversity but actively promotes it. We believe a strong organisation is built when people work together in solidarity. That is why we advise employers not only on health, but also on social safety, inclusion and good employment practices.
LGBTQIA+ employees still experience higher rates of mental health issues, insecurity and inequality in the workplace. That should not be the case. No one should feel different at work. No one should have to hide to belong. Work should be a place where you are part of a community, not where you feel excluded.
By joining the Canal Parade this year we want to show how important it is to work together with respect, trust and equality. When we support each other, there is room to grow. When we accept each other, there is strength. When we collaborate, there is health.
