In this new Live Concert for World Pride 2026, Blond & Blauw theater presents

UNITY CONCERT *Free*Progress*Pride featuring artists, musicians, creators and extravagant rainbow performers from the community.

The CONCERT and THEATRE SHOW, with ample space for varied inspiring LIVE performances and a diversity of voices and bodies, is a unique place where freedom in art, love and human dignity are the foundation.

Free — free as a vow. Progress — forward as a movement. Pride — proud of difference, of connection, of supporting one another.

We sing, dance, perform and celebrate Free Progress Pride in freedom, dignity and love — and mark 30 years of Pride & 25 years of marriage in rainbow colours with couples who show and affirm their commitment on a catwalk and via a mirror through song, dance and theatre in concert form. In 2006 and from 2017 through 2025 Blond & Blauw theater has participated annually in the Boat Parade and has been awarded three times — in 2018, 2024 & 2025 with a SECOND prize for execution and design of the theme.

In the staging of the UNITY theme ‘in LIVE Concert’, a continuing diversity of couples will show their love on a ‘Walk of Love Catwalk’ and seal this universal love theatrically in speeches and songs on the large round mirror positioned at the front of the boat.

All flags of the Pride rainbow community add colour to the theatrical UNITY and play a role in the choreography and communication of the whole.

They also stand and speak on behalf of the voices of many people in countries where these flags are not allowed to be displayed.

The unique performances form a melting pot of icons that inspire us. Everyone is part of the whole in their own special way, strength and movement, and communicates their personal message interactively with the audience along the canal quays. Through the mirror the audience can identify with the other and the image can be a source of inspiration. Those who are heavily repressed in countries where Pride is discriminated against or punished are heard by visitors and are given a voice through song and speech.

We bring the entire organisation and production together in an inspiring committee, and alongside our own contribution we seek involvement from sponsors and partners.
