During WorldPride the world comes together in Amsterdam. People from every corner of the globe meet to celebrate love, visibility and connection. For HEINEKEN, taking part in the Canal Parade is a natural way to not only support those values but also make them visible. This year we do that under one clear message: All Stars Unite.
All Stars Unite expresses the heart of WorldPride. The ‘Stars’ refer to HEINEKEN’s iconic star, but above all they symbolise everyone who makes Pride possible: members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. No hierarchy, no exclusion. Everyone counts.
HEINEKEN has a long history with Pride in Amsterdam. We have been involved since 1996, and since 2019 we have taken part in the iconic Canal Parade. Year after year we bring colleagues from around the world together to show what we stand for: a culture where everyone can be themselves. Through Heineken Open & Proud (HOP) we continue to actively work on acceptance and inclusion, both within and beyond our organisation.
As an international company we operate in more than 70 countries, with our brand available in nearly 190 markets. With over 85,000 colleagues we work every day to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome – including in places where that isn’t a given. Our guiding principle is clear: Brewing the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a Better World.
Especially at a time when polarisation is rising and people increasingly live in their own bubbles, Pride is for us more than a party. It is a powerful moment to make inclusion and connection visible. Diversity and inclusion are therefore an essential part of our global sustainability strategy, Brew a Better World. You won’t recognise our boat by logos, but by its energy. Lady Heineken leads the way: outspoken, sparkling and full of flair. Music led by the fabulous Kimberley brings people together along the quay. This boat isn’t for us alone – it’s a celebration for everyone.
