At Kennemerhart we believe in the power of TOGETHER. Together with colleagues, loved ones, volunteers, neighbourhood partners and our suppliers we continually look for ways to make our clients’ daily lives as pleasant as possible.
We see the person behind the client
Kennemerhart is the care organisation in South Kennemerland with a broad range of services. With ten residential care locations, several day- and community centres, a treatment centre and home care we provide care and support to over 2,500 clients.
Most of our clients are older adults, but we also host a unit in the heart of Haarlem where many younger people with acquired brain injuries live. Our youngest client is 19 and the oldest 105! Together they represent more than four generations.
At Kennemerhart we listen to the personal stories of our clients and their loved ones. That’s how we discover what brings someone joy and what is needed to make every day meaningful.
For LGBTI+ older adults, life was often lived in times when openness and acceptance were not guaranteed. Stories went untold, love sometimes stayed hidden. For us, Pride means recognition. A chance for our clients to openly celebrate diversity.
Our staff come from all corners of the world. Together they represent more than 100 different cultural backgrounds. Kennemerhart is an employer in the region where everyone is welcome and can be themselves. Kennemerhart has one big RAINBOW HEART.
Good client care starts with staff who feel well. That’s why it’s important to us that inclusion of the LGBTI+ community is natural and that the diversity of our employees is celebrated.
