We are honoured to be sailing again with Canal Pride. We warmly embrace the theme Unity. This year there are not only Dutch colleagues on board, but also several international colleagues from different countries. They will wear their own uniforms. Our slogan: We are the police for everyone. Diversity creates unity. Helping people, protecting the vulnerable in society and enforcing the law when necessary — that is what police officers do and what drives us. To us everyone is equal; we are a Police for everyone, and that is completely natural to us. Equally natural is that we are an organisation made up of very different people with diverse talents. Together we make the police and we all work to ensure a safe society. Police for Everyone is our perspective on long-standing important themes for us: diversity, inclusion and diverse expertise — a perspective focused on safe, competent and effective teams in which very different police officers work together for everyone who needs us.
