At our core, ‘unity’ is more than a name — it’s everything we do. We are Pride University: a collaboration between the pride networks of VU, UvA, Inholland, HvA, ROC and the Mediacollege.
Here you’re free to be who you are — and to show it. In our classrooms and lecture halls we celebrate diversity in unity. Throughout the year we work to create an inclusive environment where everyone can shine. We are proud of all LGBTQIA+ students and staff.
On our boat you’ll find a cheerful mix of students and staff. That mix is reflected in our Graduation Caps in Pride colours, with matching outfits. Together we’ll make it one lively, colourful and friendly celebration, making Amsterdam brighter than ever!
And of course we hope the quayside will celebrate just as loudly! Will you be standing on the bank as we pass by? Wave, dance, cheer — join the party. Whether you’re a student, staff member, alumnus or ally: with you there, the celebration is truly complete.
But Pride University is much more than the party on the boat. We’re building a community together. For example, former HvA student Victoria Romijn designed the boat’s look, and DJ Pottentheater (UvA) will provide the beats.
