LOVE MY GENDER, LOVE ME SWEET

Love me gender, love me true… do we need to say more?!

In the 1950s, ‘Elvis the Pelvis’ was on stage, twisting and wiggling his hips; it was a disgrace! So outrageous and vulgar! And now? No one is surprised by the dance anymore and even the shyest wallflower in the disco has swayed his hips.

This is our wish for this year’s Pride. Slowly but steadily, the acceptance of people who do not fit the standard picture is improving, but unfortunately we are still far from that. While there are still many discussions about gender identity today, we hope that in a few years time, we will look back on the discussions of today with the thought: ‘were we really so weird back then? After all, it’s only normal that we are all different, isn’t it?

We still have a long way to go, but we remain committed to a society of and for all, regardless of who they are and who they love. Our motto remains: love = love, with this year extra attention for Love me Gender. We wish you a fun and inspiring Pride!
