Pink in White (Roze in Wit) is a foundation dedicated to normalization around gender, sexual orientation and gender diversity within healthcare. One way we do this is by encouraging doctors to create more visibility in the consulting room, with LGBTIQ+ flags, batches and stickers. You can also sign up as a doctor on our website under our heading LHBTIQ+ friendly doctors. As a patient you can look this up, in which the goal is that this is how safety, awareness and openness is already created outside the consulting room. In addition, Roze in Wit gives lectures and workshops within healthcare institutes, which we give throughout the Netherlands. We also have a focus group working hard to make education in medical school more inclusive regarding LGBTQ+ diversity. The goal is to teach undergraduate students about different diversities such as, for example, a patient’s sexual orientation; how do you deal with that? How do you step away from stigmatization? How do you normalize society and work towards a consultation where every patient is allowed to be who he/she/they want to be.
