Description
Senior Pride and Onbeperkt één-boot: Stronger together! #Unity in the community!
Stichting Roze50+ will sail together with Roze Stadsdorp Amsterdam, Mokum Roze, COC’s Zonder Stempel and the Vereniging Gehandicaptenzorg in the #WorldPride Amsterdam parade on Saturday 1 August 2026!
The boat is a joint initiative of the senior organisations who collaborate within the Senior Pride committee of #PrideAmsterdam with a shared goal: raising awareness for Rainbow Seniors during World Pride 2026 and showing visitors how the Netherlands leads the way in support for and by Rainbow Seniors. Together we work for acceptance, inclusion and visibility of Rainbow Seniors.
Onbeperkt-één is a joint initiative of COC’s Zonder Stempel (for LGBTI people with a mild intellectual disability), the sector association VGN (Vereniging Gehandicaptenzorg Nederland) and its member care organisations that provide support to people with disabilities. Together we work for acceptance, inclusion and visibility of people with (intellectual) disabilities from the rainbow community.
The two initiatives came together after the Onbeperkt één boat was drawn for participation in the World Pride parade. LGBTI+ people with intellectual disabilities often face exclusion and loneliness and are frequently invisible in our society and within the rainbow community. They often have to fight for double acceptance: for their disability, for a place in society, and for their sexual and gender diversity.
Together we show that we are one, connected through diversity
