The CocoLoco Foundation is the organization behind the Love Circus. The Love Circus emerged from the Rainbow Festival that we first organized in 2019 in the center of Emmen. Now a permanent fixture every year on the last Saturday of August. The Love Circus celebrates love! We hope to be a place where you can and should be 100% yourself and where respect comes first. The aim of the Love Circus is to be a meeting place for everyone who feels at home in the “rainbow family”. At least once a month, the doors of the Love Circus open for a great party or a fun event. Meeting each other in a casual way and having a good time.

It is unacceptable that people feel unsafe or not accepted in our province because of their orientation. In the Love Circus, respect, freedom, love and tolerance come first. By entering into various collaborations, we hope to connect and thus support LGBTQIA people even more in being who they want to be and in being able to love themselves.

This year we can participate in the Canal Pride for the first time with our own boat. We are very proud that we, as a rainbow family from Drenthe, can celebrate love in Amsterdam and thus show the whole of the Netherlands that it is all quite okay as an LGBTQIA person in Drenthe.
