Stichting Love Planet is creating an impact in the world of Refugees in Europe.
Since the start of Stichting Love Planet it has been the mandate of the organization to create an enabling environment whereby members of the African diaspora will be able to navigate the essential services that they may need. Stichting Love Planet actively advocates for asylum seekers who are members of the organization. Stichting Love Planet is the face of LGBTIQ+ people of African descent in public representation at Pride events, legal support for people who need to have their case heard in court and presenting issues that are affecting the community to the parliament of the Netherlands. Stichting Love planet is the go to organization for LGBTIQ+ Africans for HIV and STI information sharing, Testing and Linkage to care.At Stichting love planet our mandate is:

  1. Create an environment for LGBTIQ+ people of African descent.
  2. Create avenues for LGBTIQ+ Refugees to access HIV and STI Screening.
  3. Be the voice for LGBTIQ+ Refugees of African Descent who are in procedure and those who are unattached and are out of procedure.

On Saturday 5th August 2023, we will join a colorful procession of LGBTI+ and ally organizations to sail through the canals of Amsterdam in celebration of Pride! We as an organization (Stichting Love Planet) hope to make LGBTQI and Sexual Minorities of color (Africans and Carribbeans) of migrant backgrounds visible at Pride Amsterdam with waving National/International flags and key messages on solidarity, inclusion, visibility, diversity and equality! Our aim is to emancipate African & Caribbean sexual minorities; As African Descends, we have suffered many years and generations of discrimination, criminalization and stigma. In other words, our emancipation is far-fetched but with the platform given to us by Pride Amsterdam and the Netherlands, we have the hope to be who we are, love who we want and identify how we like. We take pride in our identity and we are glad to be INCLUDED! Individuals sailing on our boat are Proudly LGBTQI, Sex Workers and People Living with STI/HIV living in the Netherlands as Refugees, Making our community/target group sustainably visible and showcasing African/Caribbean diversity, culture and music.
