fight the fight TOGETHER

The Rainbow Salute Foundation is bringing LGBTQIA+ and HIV/Aids activists to Amsterdam to celebrate Amsterdam Pride TOGETHER and to show that we ‘Fight the Fight TOGETHER’.

For activists working in regions where their advocacy is a threat to their safety and well-being, Amsterdam is a beacon of liberty and sanctuary. Experiencing the freedoms of this vibrant city is crucial—it offers a stark contrast to the oppressive environments many activists endure.

Amsterdam is a bastion of freedom of expression. Here, individuals can openly voice their opinions, rally for causes, and participate in peaceful protests without fear. For activists used to operating in the shadows, this openness is empowering, showing what could be possible in their own societies.

Participating in events like Amsterdam Pride allows activists to celebrate their identities and raise awareness globally. Amsterdam’s LGBTQIA+ community and commitment to sexual health inspire activists, providing renewed purpose and determination. In Amsterdam, activists find solidarity and collaboration, sharing knowledge and strategies for positive change.

In essence, experiencing the liberties of Amsterdam is not just a luxury for activists—it is a necessity. It offers them a glimpse of what they are fighting for and provides the inspiration, validation, and support needed to continue their crucial work in the face of adversity.

On the Rainbow Salute Foundation boat, we’ll visually contrast the experiences of a free society with working in danger, using white and black with combative red accents. We’ll invite the community on the canal to salute our activist heroes and celebrate their efforts with us, showing that they’re not fighting alone. We fight the fight, TOGETHER.
