Theaterfestival de Parade – PRIDE in the SPOTLIGHT
For more than 35 years, Theaterfestival de Parade has been a home for Paradijsvogels: colourful people, outsiders, dreamers, makers and enthusiasts. Each background, orientation and identity is welcome. At the Parade everyone is welcome. It’s a place where people can be themselves and discover and celebrate their identity.
Our participation in the Canal Parade during WORLD PRIDE 2026 is fully centred on that message: there is room for everyone to be themselves; PRIDE in the SPOTLIGHT. For decades the Parade has provided a stage for queer makers and stories, from large productions to intimate performances. On our boat we bring that spirit together and turn the boat into one big stage where everyone can take the spotlight. An ode to love, art and being yourself. We show how art, culture and performance can be a unifying force in a diverse society.
In our paradise there is room for everyone. So wave to us, sing along, dance on the quay, and feel for a moment completely part of our Paradise. Because with us everyone is loved.
Curious for more? From from 24 July to 9 August we’ll be at Martin Luther Kingpark in Amsterdam. There you can experience the Parade up close – with live performances, theatre, music, dance, visual arts and the atmosphere you’ll find on our boat. Come by, immerse yourself and be yourself.
