Upstream Amsterdam

The title of the boat, “On Wednesdays We …,” is a nod to the popular meme and catchphrase “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink,” from the movie Mean Girls. The movie is about the search to feel included. This lighthearted reference highlights the playful nature of our team and adds a fun twist to the serious message of the parade #youfeelincluded.

The swimclub Upstream is a group of passionate swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. Our club is a welcoming and inclusive community that celebrates diversity and encourages members to be their authentic selves. Our presence in the canal pride parade is a celebration of this identity and a way to show others that they too can find acceptance and belonging in water sports.
