On Saturday 1 August 2026 traditionally hosts the world‑famous Canal Parade parade. Because of the WorldPride we have something unique this year during the boat parade: on the Prinsengracht a WorldPride Stadium with around 10,000 seats will rise, with the parade passing straight through it. A spectacular, one‑time experience for both the boats and the audience — a true Once in a Lifetime Experience.
The stadium will be on the Prinsengracht between Leidsestraat and Spiegelgracht. There are 2 types of tickets for the stadium. All Inclusive Tickets which include a seat, music up to the first boat, and food and drinks.
There are also Seat Only Tickets available which include only the seat. In
the stadium you can purchase food and drinks.

When is the Canal Parade?
The Canal Parade takes place on Saturday 1 August 2026.
What is the Canal Parade Stadium?
Especially for WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, a temporary stadium with 9,000 seats will be built on the Prinsengracht with the Canal Parade passing right through it. A unique, one‑time experience never realised before.
What are the stadium opening hours?
The stadium is open from 10:00 to 17:00.
What time does the boat parade start?
The boat parade starts at 12:00 from the Oosterdok. The first boat is expected to arrive at the stadium around 12:30. Please make sure you are in the stadium before 12:00!
Where is the ticket check?
The ticket check and the stadium entrance are at two different locations.
For Sections A, B, C, D and E have your ticket scanned at the Leidseplein.
After scanning your ticket you will be directed by signage to the correct stadium entrance.
For Sections F, G, H, I and J have your tickets scanned at the Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen (at the level of the Pathé City cinema).

What are the opening hours of the ticket check?
Ticket checks at both Leidseplein and Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen start from 10:00. Ticket control at both locations is open until 15:00. Make sure your ticket has been scanned before 15:00!
Where is the stadium entrance?
The stadium has two different entrances. After your ticket is scanned, signage will guide you from the ticket check to the correct entrance. Keep your ticket handy; it shows the section where your seat is located. From the ticket check it’s a 5-minute walk to the stadium entrance. Your ticket also includes a map and step-by-step instructions from ticket control to the stadium entrance.
How do I get to the correct section?
Inside the stadium follow the signs to the correct section and entrance for your seat numbers. Keep your ticket handy; it shows your section, row number and seat number.
To what time can I enter the stadium?
You can enter the stadium until 15:00. Ticket control also closes at 15:00. Note: by that time the boat parade will be nearly over in the stadium. The first boat arrives in the stadium around 12:30, so make sure you’re inside before 12:00!
I bought a Seat Only Ticket. Can I buy drinks anywhere?
Yes, you can buy drinks inside the stadium.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the stadium.
Can I bring a bag into the stadium?
Backpacks and weekend bags are not allowed inside. Handbags are permitted if they are no larger than A4 and no thicker than 10 cm. This means small handbags are allowed. This will be checked at access control. Note: there are no lockers available, so please leave unnecessary items at home.
Are there house rules I need to follow?
Yes, you can read our house rules here. Please read them carefully to avoid disappointment on the day.
Are there toilets in the stadium?
Yes, there are plenty of toilets in the stadium, including accessible toilets.
Are there wheelchair‑accessible seats available?
Yes, a limited number of wheelchair‑accessible tickets are available. Every visitor needs their own ticket. So a person in a wheelchair and one companion must each purchase a ticket. Because the number of accessible places is limited, a maximum of one companion per wheelchair is allowed.
Can I leave the stadium and come back later?
No. For safety reasons a ticket is valid for one entry only. If you leave the stadium your access will be forfeited.
Is the stadium covered?
No. The stadium is completely open‑air. We advise visitors to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Bring sunscreen and a cap/hat for sun protection, and a poncho or rainwear if needed.
What happens in bad weather?
The Canal Parade and the Canal Parade Stadium will generally proceed in rain. Only in extreme weather conditions or at the instruction of authorities may programme elements be adjusted.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome. Every visitor must have a valid ticket. Children under 16 may enter the stadium only when accompanied by an adult.
Is there loud noise?
Each passing boat plays its own music. Some visitors may perceive the sound as louder than others. Nearby stores sell hearing protection; for more information see: https://ilovemyears.nl/nl
How do I get to the stadium?
We advise visitors to travel by public transport where possible. Expect heavy crowds; the boat parade is attended by tens of thousands of people each year.

Tickets cannot be exchanged, we do not take tickets back and we do not refund purchased tickets.
I can’t go to the stadium anymore. Can I resell my tickets?
A few days before the boat parade it will be possible to resell your tickets securely via a resale platform. Check the Order Status page (the page where you can download your tickets) a few days before the boat parade. To during that time you can transfer or sell your ticket to friends/family/acquaintances.
Why do I have to personalise my tickets?
Ticket personalisation means providing your name and other details that are linked to the e‑ticket. This ensures the ticket is assigned to the person named on it. This will be checked at entry by showing ID. Personalisation discourages fraud and unauthorised resale of tickets.
Why can’t I download my tickets yet?
Tickets for the Canal Parade Stadium are ‘sealed’. This means tickets are locked for security reasons and become available only one day before the boat parade. This discourages fraud and unauthorised resale. You will receive an email from Weeztix when your ticket is available to download.
I can’t find my tickets anymore
Immediately after purchasing your ticket(s) you received a confirmation email from Weeztix containing a download link to your tickets. Search your mail for sender ‘[email protected]’ or for subject ‘Your ticket(s) for <<chosen ticket>> [order number]’.

Do I need to print my tickets?
No, you do not need to print your tickets. Tickets can be scanned directly from your phone.
What happens if the boat parade and thus the stadium are cancelled?
If an event organised by Stichting Pride Amsterdam cannot take place due to government measures beyond our control (such as severe weather, national mourning, or a security threat), the event may not be rescheduled. In that case the ticket price will be refunded, minus costs already incurred and non‑refundable. As our events are organised on a cost‑recovery basis, these costs are expected to be approximately 50% to 75% of the ticket price.
