Description
Bamber Delver is editor‑in‑chief and publicist of De Gaykrant and a leading advocate for opening civil marriage in 2001. This afternoon he presents his newest book Amsterdam, queer capital of the world. Is that still true today? Many historical names that risk being forgotten but that had great influence pass by: Robert Long & Leen Jongewaard, the film Spetters, Astrid Nijgh, Pia Beck, the lesbian couple wanting a child in Zeg Eens AA. Also discussed in light of the current exhibition on drag: Snip & Snap, Daisy Dynamite and others. Enjoy this enthusiastic presentation!
