As our world increasingly shifts online, economic and digital policies are shaping the daily lives of LGBTI+ people. From from selective ‘moral’ taxation to platform rules that disproportionately suppress or limit queer voices through ‘shadowbans’: the digital economy is becoming a new battleground for equality.
On the sidelines of EuroPride and WorldPride in Amsterdam, this interactive session explores the close link between economic freedom and queer rights. Bringing together content creators, activists, researchers and policymakers, we will ask: To whom does freedom really belong?
