21:30 Energetic performance by the Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus. AMSGMC has 110 members from Amsterdam’s gay, bi, and queer community and is the largest queer choir in the Netherlands. Singing and dancing encouraged!

Feature film: Plainclothes
In Plainclotheswe follow Lucas (Tom Blyth), an undercover officer in 1990s New York. His assignment: seduce gay men and then arrest them. Then he meets Andrew (Russell Tovey) — and everything changes. Their forbidden romance grows in the shadow of danger, lies, and social rejection. How far will you go when your heart pulls you the opposite way from your duty?
Plainclothes is the feature debut of director and screenwriter Carmen Emmi, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2025 and won awards there. The film is described as a gripping blend of thriller and love drama. Intense, suspenseful, and heart‑rending.

21:25 The opening programme focuses on LGBTQIA+ seniors with a conversation featuring Roze Stadsdorp. There are also two short film portraits of rainbow elders from the LATER series by Amsterdam filmmaker Sebastiaan Kes. A Q&A with the lead from one of the film portraits will follow.

Feature film: Dreamers
The film follows Isio, a young Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom without legal status who is detained in an immigration removal centre. Hoping for a fair process, she clings to faith in the system, but her beliefs are challenged when she meets fellow detainee and peer specialist Farah. Their initial clash grows into a deep, loving bond that forces them to redefine ideas of freedom, survival, and trust.
Inspired by her own experiences as an asylum seeker in the United Kingdom, Gharoro‑Akpojotor with Dreamers tells a powerful, intimate story about human connection within the impersonal and often bewildering asylum system. “This is not a story about what it means to be a migrant, or only about how harrowing the immigration system is—although both are true. This is a story about two women who, despite an uncertain future, find love in the most unlikely place.”
