Trans Rising is an award-winning documentary by filmmaker and photographer John Rizzo, made in Amsterdam with the support of the trans community and produced by TransAmsterdam.

The film shares powerful, personal stories about identity, resilience, acceptance and the courage to be yourself. Featuring Solange Dekker, Agnes Geneva, Rubi Validor, Yvo Manuel Vas Dias, Touria Meliani and many other inspiring voices from Amsterdam’s trans community.

The documentary has been selected for more than 30 international film festivals and has won 14 international awards.
