In "Why So Sensitive", Pascal Bier examines the persistent stigma around male vulnerability. Photographed in South Africa, the series presents three Black men as symbols of strength, connection and emotional courage.
In a world where men are often taught to suppress their feelings and sensitivity is seen as a weakness, this series offers a different perspective: true strength lies not in hiding emotions but in the courage to feel them.
Through moments of tenderness, support and solidarity, the work challenges traditional ideas of masculinity and invites a more honest and humane view of what it means to be strong.
