The Thousand Colours project asks: on whose shoulders do we, as a queer community, stand?
The documentary We Are the Archive takes us into the hidden past of the Black queer community in the Netherlands. What connects us to the generations before us, and what can we learn from each other?
Here, young queer people of colour meet the women of Stichting Mil Colores, who have been creating meeting spaces for women of diverse ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations since 2000. A story about identity, resilience and a history that is still unfolding.
The screening (including a panel and Q&A) takes place on Wednesday 29 July at the H’ART Museum during Shakespeare Club by COC Amsterdam as part of WorldPride.
