Description

Besides showing that we are a beautiful, diverse and colourful community, the WorldPride March is a protest to show the world that we will not accept others telling us how to live. We also march for those who cannot join us, and to make that visible we carry the flags of countries where homosexuality is criminalised under their penal codes. For this we follow the ILGA list and maintain contact with 76 crimes, an organisation that monitors anti‑gay legislation worldwide.

Location & Times
Gather at Martin Luther King Park at 15:00. The WorldPride March will start at 16:00 and finish at Museumplein, where the WorldPride Closing Concert plaatsvindt.

Difference between Pride Walk and WorldPride March
During the opening weekend on Saturday 25 July the National Pride Walk takes place. Then we walk with about 15,000 people from De Dam to Vondelpark, where Pride Park takes place. Because of the WorldPride and the participating international groups/prides who will mainly be present during the last week, we walk once more in the closing weekend. The WorldPride March will be much larger and then we will also enable trucks from various organisations to join with music, statements & much more.
