Drag Me [2] RoXY is a sparkling drag monologue about Amsterdam’s most famous nightclub. A thrilling and intimate ode to the “second home” of a whole generation of night owls. World‑famous stars, outrageous outfits, headline performances and a notorious door policy: RoXY was once an iconic safe space. Thirty years later, actor and drag performer Sytze Bouma tries to bring RoXY back to life. Armed with a stack of interviews with former RoXY goers and using drag performances, old photos and pounding house music, Sytze explores what remains today of the “paradisiacal refuge” RoXY once was. A vividly evocative and rousing solo about the longing for a queer home and an invitation to breathe new life into old freedoms.
