Location Rozengracht 117 Amsterdam

A contemporary coming-of-age story, which aims to make what it is like to be ‘different’ tangible. The performance is at the same time an encouragement for those who are and a support for those who want to stand up for these people.

It is a performance that delves deeper into popular themes about gender, sexual orientation and identity. Can we really be who we want to be? And is that accepted by those around us? And if we are already allowed to be who we are, will we stay that way or can we change? Questions that are recognizable to everyone.

Jürgen Theuns tells, plays and sings the story of his life, assisted by young actor Valentijn Banga who plays Jürgen as an adolescent. The sincere autobiographical nature of GOOD BOY ensures that the audience is touched right in the heart.
