Funds
For WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, the central theme is UNITY. In this light, we are making funds available for activities that contribute to the visibility, emancipation and inclusiveness of the LGBTQIA+ community and especially of groups that are often less visible in society and within the Pride movement itself. The specific conditions and application forms can be found below.
Empowerment fund
APPLICATION PERIOD: 5 JANUARY TO 1 MARCH 2026
WorldPride will take place from 25 July to 8 August 2026. For third-party activities that contribute to our emancipation and/or empowerment, we have financial support and spaces available in one of our Pride Hubs. Spaces include light, sound and audiovisual equipment and have a capacity of 20-200 people. Organisations wishing to be considered are invited to apply before 1 March. The application may not exceed 50% of the total cost with a maximum amount of €5,000.
Hire of location, light, sound and catering are not eligible for subsidy. This is due to the fact that our Pride Hubs offer free spaces where these facilities are already included. Our Pride Hubs are ADAM Tower, Boom Chicago, Fosbury & Sons, Hotel Arena, ICK Dance, The Social Hub, Tolhuistuin. In some cases, you may choose to host an event at your own venue.
Visibility Fund
APPLICATION PERIOD: 14 FEBRUARY TO 1 MARCH 2026
On Saturday 1 August, the 29th edition of the Canal Parade will take place. Although non-profit LGBTQA+ organisations and private initiatives always pay only a fraction of the cost of participation, the total costs can add up quite nicely. This sometimes leaves little money left over to decorate the boat nicely. In order to still be able to properly convey the substantive message to the public, extra budget is made available by the participating companies and participants in categories 3 and 4 (Rainbow Friends S and L) and 10 and 11(Pride Rainbow Partner L and XL) can apply for a financial contribution of up to €5,000. The application must be received before 1 March and may not exceed 50% of the cost of decoration.
