Press

WorldPride Amsterdam takes place from 25 July to 8 August 2026. For this special edition there is an adapted press and media policy. This is necessary because demand is high, resources are limited, and not all events are open to media without restrictions due to participants’ privacy. At the same time, with a small team we try to serve everyone as best we can, so there are rules. On this page you will find all information for press and media and you can submit your accreditation request.

Key message Stichting Pride Amsterdam
Everyone has the right to be who they are and to love who they want. Stichting Pride Amsterdam aims to keep attention on human rights in general and on the acceptance and equality of LHBTIQA+ people in particular, wherever in the world. Pride is a great celebration and at the same time a powerful plea for the emancipation of LHBTIQA+ people. Each year hundreds of thousands of visitors come to the capital to attend Pride Amsterdam. Pride Amsterdam, together with its partners, offers a range of activities and events in debate, art, theatre, film, (dance) parties and sport. The highlight is the famous Canal Parade, where substance and entertainment come together in a vibrant spectacle.

Press accreditation, press centre and contact

Accreditation during WorldPride Amsterdam

During WorldPride many events are freely accessible to media. In addition there are private activities, and events with limited access. Accreditation is intended to coordinate these flows. You can apply here.

The rules:

  • We are still in the preparation phase and from 1 July accreditations will be granted based on demand, availability and capacity.
  • An accreditation does not automatically grant access to (private) activities. This is determined per activity.
  • On Saturday 1 August 2026 the Canal Parade will take place; information about this will follow later.
  • For the WorldPride concerts at the Museumplein media capacity is very limited. Our advice: buy a ticket.

In development:

  • We are still developing the press facilities (press centre)
  • The page with logos, press information and imagery is under development
  • The press programme is under development
  • The frequently asked press questions are under development

Speaker mediation

Looking for speakers, presenters, experts? Stichting Pride Amsterdam’s network includes many activists who work for the large and diverse rainbow family on LGBTQIA+ rights.
