Pride March and Pride Park mark the start of 9 days of coming together

Theme LOVE central to many Pride Amsterdam 2025 activities

In a world where division is increasingly visible, love offers a powerful response. For Pride Amsterdam 2025 the theme LOVE is therefore central. Pride is more relevant than ever. When people meet in person, talk and learn from each other’s differences, we grow stronger in the shared struggle for equal rights. On Saturday 26 July at 12:00 everyone can join the Pride March from Amstelveld to Pride Park. Among others, Willeke Alberti will take part in the opening and there will be dozens of activities for all ages, from sports to games and from discovery to connection.

The Amstelveld is a historic spot. On 25 June 1977 the International Lesbian Alliance organised a demonstration there against the American anti-gay activist Anita Bryant. That demonstration later gave rise to Roze Zaterdagen. We keep this history alive and honour it by starting the Pride March there for the second time. “Learning from the past is more important than ever. At Pride Amsterdam we see, hear and feel that our community is deeply concerned. Making activism visible in many forms is what Pride provides a platform for when it comes to LGBTIQA+ rights,” says Lucien Spee de Castillo Ruiz, director of Pride Amsterdam.

The Pride March starts at the Amstelveld, where people gather at 11:00 and the march begins at 12:00, walking via Utrechtsestraat, Reguliersdwarsstraat, Vijzelgracht and Weteringschans to Vondelpark. The Pride March will be accompanied by several bands, sound trucks and a little train so people with disabilities can participate too.

In Pride Park there will again be numerous sports and games, demonstrations, information stands and performances. Watching, discovering and experiencing are central at Pride Park. A noteworthy newcomer is the fetish community, which will introduce people to this often unfamiliar world in an accessible way. Performers include Willeke Alberti, Karin Bloemen, Paul Morris and BryanB, and Pride ambassadors Rik and Aimée (acrobatics), Janey Jacké (drag), Gwen Dalin (youth) and Sem Jansen (singer/songwriter).

In the run-up to WorldPride in 2026 the community is already expanding the programming. As a result, this edition features many new activities.
