Bi Plus Pride

Pride has been the newest addition to Pride Amsterdam since this summer. The committee is for those who fall on more than one gender and are bi+: for those who call themselves bi, queer, pan, fluid or flex and for those who don't want to name themselves and just do it. However those who name themselves (or do not name themselves) does not matter to us: we aim for a future that goes beyond the binary oppositions M/F, hetero/homo.

Bi+ people are inseparable from Pride; they are more than 1 million Dutch people and we want to make this diverse group of people visible. On television, during the Canal Parade, with serious conversations and debate. But we also want to offer them a place for good drinks and parties. Whether they want to come out of the closet (or not), lead a life as apparently straight or gay: all this to celebrate their being bi+ during Pride.
