Corporate Pride events coming soon!

A powerful signal

The commitment of companies that actively work towards an inclusive and diverse society is invaluable. And this goes beyond internal HR policies. By taking part in and supporting activities of the LGBTQIA+ community, such as Amsterdam Pride, companies send a powerful message: everyone matters and is valued. Not only large corporations but also smaller businesses that do this enrich the activities of the LGBTQIA+ community and can offer support to people who are still exploring their identity or who don’t feel safe in their surroundings.

The message is clear: everyone is welcome, and that includes you. Companies show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community in many ways. Aside from sponsoring Amsterdam Pride and LGBTQIA+ organisations, this can include establishing internal LGBTQIA+ networks and employee support groups, offering inclusive training for staff, creating ad campaigns that promote diversity and acceptance, and advocating for equal rights and anti-discrimination laws.

More than just joining the parade

The Corporate Pride Committee is made up of representatives from companies that participate in that year’s Canal Parade during Pride Amsterdam or make it possible for LGBTQIA+ organisations that lack the financial means to join. By contributing to the Canal Parade, participating companies not only support the parade itself but also help organise a range of activities during Pride Amsterdam. The committee meets four times a year.

In addition to networking, these meetings are primarily used to share experiences about diversity and inclusion concerning both employees and customers. Best practices are discussed and experts are invited to highlight specific aspects of diversity and inclusion, for example to improve HR policies. Within the Corporate Pride Committee, a working group organises a conference ahead of Pride Week. This conference focuses on themes that highlight and strengthen the role of business in creating an inclusive and diverse society.

This conference is not only for members of the Corporate Pride Committee. Members of the Pride Business Club, which represents all partners of Stichting Amsterdam Pride, are also welcome. The close ties between the Corporate Pride Committee and thePride Business Club strengthen the engagement of all partners of Stichting Amsterdam Pride. Together they contribute to creating a society where diversity is celebrated and everyone can feel accepted.
