Student Pride events coming soon!
StudentPride is the committee for LGBTQIA+ students in Amsterdam and beyond. Since 2020 we’ve organised a range of student parties, hosted insightful talks about LGBTQIA+ culture, and competed to build the tallest crate-of-beer towers. This year you’ll find us again in Pride Park and at our own Student Pride party!
Our mission
This committee’s goal is to give students a safe space — a place where they can not only party and socialise but also be themselves. StudentPride aims to organise activities that are fun and welcoming. It can be hard for LGBTQIA+ students to find like-minded people while studying. All our member organisations give LGBTQIA+ students the chance to connect. StudentPride brings these groups together and ensures students have a meaningful presence during Pride Amsterdam.
Our activities
In Pride Park we organise fun activities for students every year (and for anyone with a student spirit). Maybe you’ve seen our crate-of-beer tower, or danced at our silent disco. Want to learn more about sexuality and sex? No problem — we’ve got that covered too. Drop by our sex bus (it’s less scandalous than it sounds) or relax and chat in our chill zone, mocktail in hand.
We also host a big annual party! In past years we’ve organised events like DiCHTGETiKT and OPGEBiECHT. Expect lots of great people, emerging DJs, awesome venues (good inspiration for ADE later or just a great night out), and of course we’ll keep the drinks coming 😉
Get to know us
StudentPride is a committee made up of A.S.V.Gay, Amsterdam’s LGBTQIA+ student association, and enthusiastic volunteers. We are also closely connected with the queer networks of Amsterdam’s higher education institutions: VU Pride, HvA Pride, InHolland Pride and UvA Pride.
