Student Pride events
StudentPride is the committee for LGBTQ+ students in Amsterdam and far beyond. Since 2020, we have been organising various parties for students, giving interesting lectures on LGBTQIA+ culture, and competing for who can build the highest tower of beer crates. This year, we will again be at Pride Park and our own Student Pride party!
Our aim
The aim of this committee is to offer students a safe place, a place where they can not only party and drink but also be themselves. StudentPride tries to put up activities that are fun. For LGBTQ+ students, it can sometimes be difficult to find like-minded people while studying. All our member organisations give LHBTIQ+ students the opportunity to connect with each other. StudentPride is there to connect these organisations and give students a full place during Pride Amsterdam.
Our activities
Every year at PridePark, we organise fun activities for students (and anyone with a studentish mindset). Maybe you have already seen our beer crate tower, or have you ever gone wild at our silent disco. Want to learn more about sexuality and sex? No worries, you've come to the right place for that too! For instance, come and visit us in our sex bus (not as wrong as it sounds) or have a conversation in our chill zone, with a mocktail to go with it of course.
We also organise big parties every year! Last years, we organised DiCHTGETiKT and OPGEBiECHT, for example. Expect lots of fun people, up-and-coming DJs, cool locations (good inspo for ADE later or just a fat night out), and of course we won't leave you dry through the evening either 😉
Get to know us
StudentPride is a committee consisting of A.S.V.Gay, Amsterdam's LGBTQIA+ student association, and enthusiastic volunteers. We are also closely linked to the various pink networks of Amsterdam's higher education institutions, namely VU Pride, HvA Pride, InHolland Pride and UvA Pride.
