Joss Stone added to spectacular line‑up
The full programme for WorldPride Amsterdam at the Museumplein has been announced. From From Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 August, the Museumplein will be the beating heart of WorldPride, with five days of concerts, queer culture, local talent and international stars. The final headliner is now revealed: Joss Stone. The British soul singer joins the impressive line‑up for the Unity Concert on Tuesday 4 August.
The WorldPride programme opens on Tuesday 4 August with the Unity Concert, an exclusive evening where fifteen artists are accompanied by the New Amsterdam Orchestra. Under the baton of conductor Stephan Geusebroek they will perform specially arranged versions of Pride songs. The evening will be hosted by Conchita Wurst and Envy Peru.
Alongside Joss Stone, performers include Billy Porter, Beth Ditto, Emma Kok, Berget Lewis, Gustaph and many more. The night is further enriched by dancers led by choreographer Jorge Antonio and a specially assembled choir from Lucia Marthas — the Martha’s Choir under the direction of Rob de Nijs. It promises to be a unique opening evening centred on music, connection and inclusivity.
Wedding Party XXL celebrates 25 years of marriage equality for same‑sex couples
On Thursday 6 August the Museumplein will celebrate 25 years of marriage for same‑sex couples during the Wedding Party XXL. Audiences can enjoy performances by Billy Porter, Heather Small (M People), Bimini, the Vengaboys and the internationally recognised Dutch techno DJ KI/KI. The evening will be presented by Jurre Geluk and Sylvana Simons.
Spectacular closing with Olly Alexander, Lion Babe, Diana King and The Blessed Madonna
On Saturday 8 August WorldPride Amsterdam will close with a grand Closing Concert. The stage will feature, among others, Olly Alexander (Years & Years), the American duo Lion Babe, reggae icon Diana King and many other artists. The honour of musically closing WorldPride Amsterdam goes to the globally acclaimed DJ and producer The Blessed Madonna, who will play the final set of the event. The closing party will be hosted by Amber Vineyard and Janey Jacke.
Two full days of programming in Pride Village
In addition to the ticketed concert nights, WorldPride also offers two completely free days at the Museumplein. On Wednesday 5 and Friday 7 August Pride Village will take place — a day of music, food trucks, a market, community organisations and live performances. No ticket is required for these two days.
