Become a volunteer

WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 will be one of the biggest events our city has ever known. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world will come together to celebrate freedom, diversity and love. To make this possible, we need hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers are the heart of WorldPride: they welcome visitors, provide information, ensure a warm welcome in pop-up stores and info stands, support the Canal Parade and help with logistics, set-up and safety. Without them, this event is simply not possible. Together, we make WorldPride a celebration that everyone will remember.

In 2026, Amsterdam will colour the world rainbow. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from all corners of the earth will come together to celebrate freedom, love and diversity. And you can be part of it!

As a volunteer, you will experience WorldPride up close:
✨ You meet new people and build friendships for life.
✨ You experience special moments behind the scenes.
✨ You actively contribute to a safe, festive and inclusive event.
✨ You develop new skills and enrich your CV.

Whether you help out for three half-days or the full fortnight - your efforts make a difference. 👉 Sign up and become a co-maker of history. Because WorldPride 2026 is not just something you experience, it's something you experience!

We see volunteering as serious business and not just something non-committal, which is why we like to make clear agreements with you. Which ones you can read in our house rules.

Volunteers applying to supervise youth and/or elderly activities are invited for a separate interview. Apart from signing the house rules and our code of conduct, they must also be in possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We can apply for this free of charge at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.

Safe workplace

Employees and volunteers are entitled to a safe workplace where undesirable behaviour such as sexual harassment, bullying, aggression, violence and discrimination have no place. Should anyone still be harassed, they would do well to make it clear immediately that they do not want this kind of behaviour. Sometimes this is difficult and it is wise to seek help from a colleague or manager. You can also call on the support of our external confidential advisor Charissa Doesburg. She offers emotional and practical support and can give advice to those who are professionally confronted with cross-border and undesirable behaviour.

Pride Amsterdam Foundation has outsourced the implementation of its PSA policy to ArboNed and follows its protocol.
