Music event, where trans rolemodels who lived 100 years ago, receive a tribute to their lives

During the Trans Tribute Stage, 3 queer and trans singers dedicate songs to unsung trans heroes who lived 100 years ago. By speaking on their stories and what we know of transhood in a different era, we keep the stories of those who walked before us alive. Amsterdam Southeast recently opened the ZOJAZZ Stage, a venue celebrating black musicians and history from as small as our district to as big as the world. By centering this event around blackcellence, and bringing stories from the past alive, we anchor the importance of storytelling.
